Halloween

So Hallowen has officially been over for two hours- the bars are making last call, and I have yet to experience any of it. I enjoyed my time with the Callahans today- we finished carving pumpkins and the kids were all dressed up excellently: Blythe was a movie star, Kiki was Wall.E, and Cam was Leo from the Little Einsteins. I was dressed in my Navan best as a cowgirl as per the Blythester's not so subtle request. A good time was had by all- and the Callahans didn't throw me out right away.

Scott and I were supposed to watch scary movies and hang out tonight but oh no- the army can't give me an inch. They confined him to base under the pretense of an inspection tomorrow morning. So I, once again, had to come home to an empty apartment and do nothing while most of the normal people in the world were out partying it up. Why do I feel like such a failure in the social realm? Maybe that's why I relate to Kiki so well- I know what it's like to be a social misfit.

Anyways- complaining aside it was an okay Halloween. Maybe next year when Scott and I are in Edmonton and we have our own place I'll convince him to buy a pumpkin and we can carve it together and maybe even go out a bit...or even resurrect our dead plans from this year.

*sigh*...what I wouldn't give to be able to live a normal life!
