So much to say, so little time to say it

Hey all!

SO I've been up to a lot lately: school is done (at least for now), and I'll be starting a summer course on Monday. A bird course on acting, but I'm looking forward to it. I've been working near full-time lately, 2 days a week for the Callahans and 3 days a week for the Thompsons/DeJeans. I'm having a blast- what could be better than getting paid to play with children I ask? NOTHING! So the summer is off to a good start (although I admit I'm only a month into it!). I recently launched my new website CanadianMilitaryGirlfriends.ca- a support group/community resource for women and men with spouses in the Canadian Forces. The reception was mixed, but in the end I'm getting quite a few hits and the forums are fairly active so I've got high hopes for it! And, on Friday I'm turning 20! I can't believe it, I'm going to be in my 20s in less than a week! But I'm so excited, and I can't wait to celebrate with all my friends (or most of them at least). We're having dinner with my parents, and then I'm meeting everyone at the Avant-Garde around 11pm for pre-drinks and catching up before heading to the club. It should be awesome and I can't wait to see everyone that I haven't seen in over a year!

With my impending adult-hood upon me it's recently hit me that I've been out of highschool for TWO years, and how much I've changed in that time. It's really awkward- to feel separate from something you once were so very involved in, but I wouldn't go back to it for a million dollars. My future is so different than I once thought it would be- and it's all at once exciting and terrifying...but I won't bore you all with THAT.

So yeah- I'm looking forward to a month of shuttling myself between Ottawa and Toronto. With my birthday, the 2/4, and a vacation with the Callahans, I'll be there for every weekend (except obviously this one). If I run into any of you in the streets of downtown with 3 small children in tow you'll know why! After that I've got my anniversary retreat with Scott to look forward to at the Chateau Montebello. My grandparents took their honeymoon there some 50 odd years ago so I'm really excited to stay there and spend a weekend with my man! Two years July 11, can you believe it?! Claire (Hogan) may be spending some time living with me this summer- which would be awesome. I've never had a real roommate (my father hardly counts) and it'd be awesome to spend some time with her and actually maybe start a social life! Then I'll be embarking on my LAST YEAR at York University. If I can do this my dears I can do anything. Finishing this degree will be a huge weight off my shoulders and I'll be able to pursue my true passion- children, by going for my ECE at Algonquin College once I finish it in April 2009. SO EXCITED!! It looks like I have a busy year ahead of me, and it's a welcome change from the trauma of 2007.

Hmm...so that's all I've got to say for right now. Nothing particularily revolutionary but I felt I must write it down. OH! I'm re-reading the Outlander series that I enjoy so much. I found the first two books in the Pleasent Bookstore when I went with Tyler a few weeks ago and have decided to hunt down the rest second hand and keep them forever. Anybody who hasn't read these books should- they're awesome.

So yeah, everybody enjoy yourself and have a great summer!
