Life goes on...

So an update for all those who read this but I don't talk to regularly.



The last month has been an up and down kinda ride. I finally finished my Saxon job- just in time for classes to start. I had the first week of classes off (yay for lazy profs!) so I headed home on the 31st after work.



On Saturday, September 1st 2007, my beloved Gammy (Patricia Sally Buzby Taylor) passed away peacefully in her own bed in her own home. I don't really know what there is to say other than she will be dearly missed. I carry her around with me always (a lot of the time litterally- I inherited a lot of her clothes, including an insanely huge collection of brand-new socks!). She was creamated, and her memorial service on the 15th was beautiful and sad. She's burried in Hillcrest Cemetary in Burnstown Ontario.



So after that schock and extreme sadness, there was some good stuff. My week off was nice and tranquil. I got 2 whole days to myself at home with nothing to do but sit and watch tv, swim, and tan. I had beautiful weather!



Classes are going well. I'm not exactly sure about some of them, but for the most part they seem good. One has an insane amount of reading that I am not looking forward to.



And I got my pole last Wednesday! It's up in my bedroom, and once I figure out how to transfer videos from my cellphone to my computer I'll put up some pictures and maybe a vid. We'll see. It's a lot slippier than I expected and the grip (width) of it is more than I'm used to...but it's the standard in clubs and comps, so I'm determined to get used to it! Right now I'm working on getting my Diamond (or Carousel) in shape on it, and my Chair. I'm also trying to get the hang on my Closed-Front Hook, Pole Sit, and even attempting an Open-Front Hook to Back Hook transitional. Now if only my grip would improve!



So right now I'm sitting in the Callahan's basement just chillin. I've been babysitting for the kids since 6:30- they're all asleep soundly, not a word of complaint from any of them! Kiki didn't even get out of bed so I'm pleased about that!



So yeah- that's what's been going on. I suppose I should have brought my reading materials for next week to look over, but pfft...why would I dothat? lol.
