OUCH!

So the last few weeks have gone well...I've been paid by 3 dif. jobs all at once for $$ they owed me (yes!), I've gone home-come back to TO- and then gone home again, and my BIG news...I bought my pole!

K so here goes: everything's been pretty good. Gammy's not doing so hot and I've been trying to go back as often as possible to see her. It's really tough to see her though cause every time I have to leave it feels like I'm saying goodbye for the last time...and I very well may be. It's just to much to deal with, I don't want to have to say goodbye. It just doesn't seem fair, y'know?

The fair was awsome- well the Fair itself sucked. I got a beavertail and that's about all I got at the fair, but the concerts were AWSOME! Loverboy was great, booze was a plenty (yay for Mr. Lawlor giving me free tickets!) and it was so great to catch up with old friends (even if I was plastered to the wall). Ambush was great too- it was so good to see them play again! It got rained out at the end but Oh Well! I got a romantic walk in the rain with my man ;)...at least it was romantic until we both got soaked to the SKIN! Good thing my parents wern't home cause the second I walked in the door I was OUT of those wet clothes...which Scott didn't seem to mind...
So now my BIG news! Since Scott the love of my life is being taken away to the Gonq for the school year because the army is stupid and can't train him (wow look at my grammar skillz...), I will be alone yet again. And although I've grown quite used to being all alone with myself (infact I crave it sometimes)- I hate being lonely and bored stiff. SO as my present to myself for being so good this summer and for actually biting the bullet and going back to school like the well-behaved chickadee that I am...I have purchased an X Pole. For those of you who haven't any idea wtf an X-Pole is...it's a portable dance pole (or stripper pole if you want). Basically it's a tension-mounted dance pole that comes apart into peices so you can take it wherever your little heart desires. This means if you have a ceiling with joists in it and it's between 7 and 9 feet high (because why would I buy an extension just for your house?) I can set up my fancy pole in your living room and go for a spin...or teach you to. I however am one lucky duck cause my ceiling is made of concrete, so I don't have to search for joists, I can just pop it up wherever I please. I chose this as my present to myself because A) it's totally frivolous B) it's helluva expensive and I can't justify it otherwise C) it will keep me in shape- since I doubt I'll have the money to commit to classes during school, and I'll be a level 3 at Aradia by the end of Sept. I'll be able to practise whenever I want. D) Online demos are very cheap, so during my hiatus from classes if I feel like learning a new move, all Ihave to do is pay 10$ for a months access to the database and poof! Lana's learning new moves to keep her entertained. It's a frivolous purchase that's good for me and that I'm giddy about- when does that ever happen?! And if you're really nice to me I might even let you use it :P
So that's about it. I'm really upset that Scott's going back to the Otown for school but what can you do? We'll figure out some sort of he comes here/I go there routine to work ourselves into...so expect to see me in Ottawa fairly often. (That's another thing, this thing comes with a carrying bag so I can bring it with me when I go home- and therefore can practise no matter where I am!)
K well I'm off to bed- a whole day of gruling office work ahead of me...whatever shall I wear?!
